Under the Moueix family's leadership, the unique clay-limestone soils (known as Petrusiens) give Petrus wine its distinctive richness, complexity and elegance. The 2004 vintage produced a powerful, full-bodied wine with notes of ripe black fruit, plum and spice. Despite the intense heat, Petrus wines retain a certain freshness and characteristic elegance thanks to diligent vineyard work and the unique terroir.
