Without question, the name Selosse is the most important in Champagne with regard to the monumental grower revolution that has gathered momentum over the last few decades. Former interns of Anselme Selosse are among the most sought-after growers, including Olivier Collin and Jérôme Prévost. This extends the influence of the Selosse family well beyond their own label. Based in Avize, in the heart of Champagne's renowned Côte des Blancs region, Jacques Selosse is a family-run producer. Anselme's son, Guillaume, took the reins in 2018. They own nearly 8 hectares of vines, spanning Avize, Cramant, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Ay, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, and Ambonnay. The most ardent collectors will undoubtedly be familiar with these unique wines, which inspire impassioned devotion in some and bemused scepticism in others. However, for those in the former camp, Jacques Selosse provides an unparalleled experience.
