The Jacquesson champagne house is located in Dizy, in the Marne Valley, in Champagne. Its history dates back to 1978, when the Chiquet family bought the brand and incorporated it into their family estate. In 1988, Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet took over and have since overseen a rapid rise to prominence, with Jacquesson being ranked the third best house after Bollinger and Krug. The estate is spread over two different regions: the Grand Cru of Aÿ and two Premiers Crus in Dizy and Hautvillers in the Marne Valley and two Grands Crus in the Côte des Blancs in Avize and Oiry. Jacquesson wines come from 80% of its vineyards, certified organic since 2010.
Cuvée No. 741 DT (Late Dégorgement) is based on the 2013 vintage and is a blend of Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir. The grapes come from the crus of Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvilliers (51%) and Avize and Oiry (49%). It is vinified on the lees in oak barrels and then aged on the lees for 94 months before being disgorged in April 2022. It is not racked at bottling.
