Niepoort Vintage Port 2017 has a dark purple edge and great depth of colour. The nose is dominated by young black fruits. Powerful on the palate and fresh in the middle. A great combination of power and elegance with a very bold, dry and long finish.
Vinification Vineyards: Once produced, the wines are sent to the cellars and warehouses of Vila Nova de Gaia, the traditional centre of the Port trade. In these cellars, the wines are stored, blended, aged, bottled and distributed in cooler conditions.
Tasting notes: A beautiful dark purple edge and great depth of colour characterise the appearance of this wine. The aromatic profile is dominated by superb young dark fruit. The initial attack is powerful, leading to a fresh mid-palate with wonderfully seductive dark fruit flavours. A great combination of power and elegance that ends in a bold, dry, long and slightly green tannic finish. The length and structure of the 2017 vintage promise a long-lived wine with great ageing potential.
