The Cooperativa Vitivinícola da Ilha do Pico was founded in 1949, when local producers joined together to revive the noble grape varieties and the traditional stone-walled vineyards, now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over time, the cooperative has grown to include 250 members - women, men and families - who dedicate their lives to this passion and centuries-old craft. With a rich history spanning 70 years, it is the oldest wine producer in the Azores, with a strong commitment to preserving and respecting winemaking traditions. This collective effort guarantees the exceptional quality of the wines produced in the Azores.
