Arribas Belfo white wine transcends the ordinary, extending beyond the realm of a mere libation. Crafted from grapes sourced from ancient vineyards in Peredo de Bemposta, Belfo carries a noble cause - it contributes to the mission of AEPGA (Association for the Study and Protection of the Asinine Livestock), dedicated to preserving the heritage of the Donkey of Miranda.
The historical significance of Miranda's donkey lies in its once pivotal role in tending to vineyards perched atop the cliffs overlooking the Douro River. However, as agricultural practices evolved towards mechanisation, tractors supplanted these noble creatures. Arribas seeks to rekindle this traditional partnership between donkeys and winemaking, striking a balance between heritage preservation and contemporary practices.

When you indulge in a bottle of Arribas Belfo branco, your enjoyment goes beyond the taste; a portion of your purchase contributes to AEPGA's cause - a gesture to support the Donkey of Miranda. The term "Belfo" also carries a playful connotation, referring to someone who talks with their mouth full. A sip of this wine, and you'll understand the playful essence captured within each drop.
