Eric Rodez Cuvee des Crayeres Magnum
For almost three centuries, the Rodez family has been attached to the Champagne region and in particular to the terroir of Ambonnay and its charming little village, whose narrow streets are bordered by the walls of the wine estates.
Eric Rodez and his wife Martine have been cultivating 6 hectares of vines according to organic and biodynamic principles for several years, and have now handed over to their son Mickael, who represents the ninth generation.
The Rodez family comes from a long line of winegrowers, and each generation has helped to develop the magnificent terroir in which they live to express all its richness. Today, the Ambonnay vineyard on the Montagne de Reims extends over 6 hectares, 4 of which are planted with Pinot Noir and 2 with Chardonnay. Respect for the vines and their prosperity has always been a daily concern, which is why Eric Rodez converted his estate to organic and biodynamic farming in 2009. In 2012, the estate was awarded the 'High Environmental Value' certification. The philosophy of the Maison Rodez is thus guided by the winegrower's good sense, which helps to preserve biodiversity, resulting in champagnes that offer pleasure and enjoyment.
