Lilipop Lupulo is a distinctive white wine crafted from Rabigato, Gouveio, and Esgana Cão grapes sourced from the renowned Douro wine region. Following a delicate crushing and complete destemming of the grapes, the musts underwent fermentation in stainless steel vats, utilizing indigenous yeasts and forgoing temperature control. As the fermentation reached its conclusion, a unique touch was introduced with the addition of hops, eliminating the need for sulfur dioxide.
The wine then found its sanctuary in French oak barrels, where it engaged in an enriching dance with fine lees. Over a period of 6 months, the wine underwent a gentle yet consistent stirring process before reaching its final destination – the bottle. This meticulous journey imparts Lilipop Lupulo with a nuanced and captivating character that reflects both the intrinsic qualities of the grapes and the innovative techniques employed in its creation.
