Derived from 20-year-old vines thriving in sandy soil within the locality of Amoreira da Gândara, this wine embodies a distinct sense of place. The grape harvest, occurring at the beginning of September, sets the stage for a transformative winemaking process. Spontaneous fermentation unfolds in stainless steel, utilising natural yeasts, over an extended period of three weeks, all without temperature control. Following this, the wine undergoes a year of maturation on its lees, contributing to its depth and complexity. Notably, it retains its authenticity by foregoing filtration and abstaining from fining processes, allowing the pure expression of the vineyard and grape characteristics to shine through.
