Bénédicte and Emmanuel Leroy's cuvée 11, 12, 13... is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from 2011, 2012, 2013... to 2018. It is therefore a perpetual reserve in which the first vintages of the house are blended with the wines of the year.
This cuvée comes from different plots of land in the village of Essoyes, a clayey terroir in the Côte des Bar, which produces grapes of great aromatic intensity while retaining a lovely freshness.
The wines are aged in barrels and demi-muids for 9 months before bottling. Bénédicte and Emmanuel Leroy make their wines with as little intervention as possible. The wine is vinified with indigenous yeasts from their own grapes, without fining, filtration, sulphites or expedition liqueur. The wine is cooled naturally, taking advantage of the winter frosts.
It is a Brut Nature, a champagne without dosage, which allows you to appreciate all its purity and natural balance.
This cuvée 11,12,13... reveals beautiful notes of citrus fruits, grapefruit and spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. This wine has great body and a long, mineral finish.
