The winemaking process for the Madeira Barbeito Malvasia 2007 Single Cask was unique in that it was the first time a 2007 Malvasia had been bottled as a single cask colheita. The wine was vinified using a horizontal screw press and fortified to a medium-sweet level. It began ageing in warehouse D, where the high temperatures quickly increased its concentration. In 2017, the cask was transferred to Warehouse E, where the cooler conditions allowed the wine to evolve more slowly and evenly, balancing acidity and sugar.
