Eric Rodez Blanc De Blancs
Eric Rodez's Blanc de Blancs is a generous champagne that reflects the Ambonnay terroir. This cuvée expresses notes of citrus and yellow fruits.
Made from Chardonnay grapes grown exclusively on the Grand Cru Ambonnay terroir, it is a full-bodied, generous Blanc de Blancs with a fine finish.
To create this cuvée, Eric Rodez blended 7 different vintages (from 2002 to 2008), giving it a rare complexity and depth.
Eric Rodez's touch is also evident in the vinification process, where 70% of the wine is aged in small oak barrels and 30% has not undergone malolactic fermentation, giving the wine freshness and long ageing potential.
The dosage for this cuvée is low, around 5 grams of sugar per litre.
Pale gold in colour, the Eric Rodez Blanc de Blancs has an expressive nose of fruit and brioche. On the second nose, notes of peach and citrus fruit stand out.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with good length and a very fine structure.
