The NV Hommage au Pinot Noir offers plenty of Henri Giraud character in a more accessible style than the top wines in most years. Kirsch, plum, cinnamon, dried flowers and cedar give the Hommage its exuberant character. It oozes Pinot charm. This release is based on 2019 and includes 40% reserve wines. Henri Giraud Hommage au Pinot Noir NV is a non-vintage blanc de noirs champagne produced by Henri Giraud in Aÿ, France. Established in the 17th century in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ, Champagne Henri Giraud is one of the oldest family-run estates in the Champagne region. The estate is run by Claude Giraud, the 12th generation of the Giraud-Hémart family and a vigneron particularly renowned for his skill with Pinot Noir. In general, Giraud's wines are aged in oak barrels, which gives the final Champagnes a subtle oxidative richness. Hommage au Pinot Noir is aged in the bottle for 36 months. Toasty with soft dried and red berry fruit notes, a salty minerality and subtle spice.
