Tomaralmá Volt'Aire Branco 2020

Centenary Fernão Pires is an artisan white wine made from century-old vineyards in the Ourém region of Portugal, showcasing the heritage and purity of the Fernão Pires grape. The vines are over 100 years old and deeply rooted in the calcareous soils characteristic of the Ourém region, contributing to the wine's unique minerality and elegance. A short maceration preserves the aromatic potential of the grape and adds a subtle texture. Fermentation and ageing take place in used oak barrels, which enhances the complexity of the wine without overpowering its natural character. The wine is bottled directly from the barrel without racking or the addition of sulphur dioxide (SO2), embodying a minimalist, natural winemaking philosophy. Expect a wine with vibrant freshness, delicate floral and citrus notes, a pronounced minerality and a nuanced depth from the barrel.
