Comtes de Champagne is made exclusively from Grand Cru Chardonnay grapes grown in prestigious villages such as Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger. These terroirs, located on the Côte des Blancs, are renowned for their chalk-rich soils, which act as a natural reservoir of water and heat, providing ideal conditions for the grapes to flourish.
The vintage was marked by atypical weather conditions, producing wines with exceptional freshness and structure. Following a cool, wet spring and a hot, sunny summer, the grapes ripened slowly, resulting in unique aromatic concentration. The later-than-usual harvest produced grapes of exceptional quality, particularly the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties. This prolonged ripening process brought out mineral and fruity notes, as well as lively acidity, promising excellent ageing potential.
Only the finest 'cuvées' are selected for this blend, with 5% aged in oak barrels for four months to impart subtle toasted nuances and reinforce the overall structure. After 10 years of slow maturation in the cellars, this champagne reveals unique complexity and remarkable liveliness. The Brut dosage achieves perfect balance, highlighting its freshness and aromatic depth.
