Duckman Quaaaq Quaaaq Branco emerges from a three-hectare vineyard adorned with 20-year-old vines rooted in chalky-clay and sandy soils. The grapes undergo a meticulous hand-harvesting process, followed by destemming. Spontaneous fermentation ensues in chestnut and French oak, utilising ambient yeasts over three weeks, all carefully monitored for temperature control. The wine then embarks on a journey, spending six months on lees with regular stirring, followed by an additional six months divided between aged casks (50%) and stainless steel (50%).
Characterised by a moderate acidity, this white wine unfurls with distinctive notes of cucumber and lemon peel, concluding with a fresh herbal finish. Notably, it maintains its natural authenticity by forgoing fining or filtration, allowing the true essence of the wine to shine through.
