Made from Encruzado, Bical and Cercial-Branco vines aged between 25 and 60 years on granite soils, this wine is a striking example of the complexity of old vines. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in 2,500-litre vats and cement tanks, it is aged sur lie without batonnage. The wine presents a citrus profile with subtle aromas of orange peel, tea leaf and a gentle toasty reduction. The palate is defined by prominent acidity and minerality, suggesting remarkable potential for long-term ageing, and promises to evolve gracefully with time.
