This Jaen from a single plot in Vila Nova de Tazem reflects the unique terroir of 28-year-old vines grown on granite soils. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts in cement vats, with 35% whole bunches and a 30-day cuvaison. After spending its first winter in cement, it is aged for an additional 6 months in French oak vats. The result is a bright, open red wine with a distinctive mineral character imparted by the cement, complemented by subtle pepper notes and delicate fruit. Its long, precise acidity brings harmony and refinement, making this Jaen dry and distinctive.
