Cabeças do Reguengo Equinócio 2023

€30
VAT included.
Made from several old grape varieties found in a very old vineyard on the outskirts of the village of Reguengo, in the Serra de S. Mamede (the unique mountain range over 1000 metres high in southern Portugal). The vineyard faces east, at an altitude of 598 metres, and the soil is granitic (Ordovician).
The yields are very low. We cannot say that there is a predominance of one variety over another. There are about 14 different varieties, the result of a mass selection carried out until the beginning of the twentieth century.
Manual harvest. Crushing, pressing and decanting of the must. Spontaneous fermentation and aged for 15 months in used oak barrels. With malolactic. Bottled without fining.
