Tom Lubbe Matassa
Matassa – wild elegance from the Roussillon. Founded by Tom Lubbe, a New Zealand–born, South African–raised winemaker, Matassa is a benchmark for low-intervention, high-altitude wines in southern France. Working with old vines of Grenache, Macabeu, and Carignan grown on schist and limestone, Lubbe crafts luminous, energetic wines with little to no added sulfur. Matassa bottles are pure, untamed, and full of life – a raw yet refined expression of Mediterranean mountain terroir.
