Vítor Claro – clarity, lightness, and poetic restraint. A former chef turned winemaker, Vítor Claro brings a culinary precision and minimalist touch to his wines. Working mainly in Portalegre (northern Alentejo) and across old vineyards in the south, he revives forgotten plots of field blends planted at altitude. His wines are known for their freshness, fine texture, and quiet complexity, often made with little extraction and native yeasts. Vítor’s approach is instinctive and elegant – letting the vineyard speak in whispers, not shouts.
