Quartz 2022 made from multiple ancient grape varieties from centuries-old vineyards, associated with olive groves, located in the parish of Reguengo, in the Serra de S. Mamede Natural Park (Portalegre). Vineyard altitudes vary between 550 and 735 meters. The soil is very old and very eroded granite (Ordovician). Productions are very low. This wine is a batch of four “field blends” from as many small vineyards. Vinification Healthy and whole grapes were harvested. After crushing and pressing, the must was decanted for 48 hours. It was then transferred to a cement vat (built in 1952), where it fermented. It was then aged for 12 months in old barrels with a final finish in a stainless steel tank. The wine was bottled on September 8th without being fined or filtered. This white wine is a “whole” wine.
