Vp = Vinha da Pena. It is vital from the Serra de Montejunto, grown in clay-limestone soil in the north-west facing Vinha da Pena vineyard, which is located 350 metres above sea level. It is harvested by hand in mid-September. It is macerated in 1000-litre vats for three days, then pressed and fermented with native yeasts. It is then aged in old barrels for 11 months. It underwent complete malolactic fermentation.
