In 1945, Raymond Javillier returned from the war and took over the 2 hectares of land that had been in the family for a long time. 1974 was a key year in the history of the domaine: Patrick, Raymond's son, took over the management of the estate and developed it until the early 1990s. Patrick's daughter Marion has been working at the estate since 2005 and his sister's husband Pierre Emmanuel since 2011.
The grapes from this plot are harvested relatively early in order to retain enough acidity to balance the richness and natural fullness of Corton Charlemagne with a certain finesse. This wine has a distinctive golden colour. The nose is intense, with notes of hazelnut and fresh walnut. Its powerful aromas are remarkable. On the palate, there are white notes of apple and apricot. It is a mineral wine with good acidity. Its natural alcohol content is always high, making it a powerful, fairly concentrated wine with a very long finish.
