Filipa Pato Território Vivo 2020

Territorio Vivo is a delicate expression of the Baga grape that embodies the concept of "living terroir". The old vines are hand-picked from different vineyards in Bairrada, all of which are in the process of converting to organic and biodynamic practices. This careful selection and attention to natural methods enhances the essence of the terroir.
The grapes are destemmed and left to ferment naturally in open oak vats, with some extraction by pigeon-holing, but with minimal maceration on the skins to preserve the delicacy of the wine. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 9 months in 500 to 600-litre used pipas and tonel, allowing it to develop complexity without overpowering the purity of the fruit.
The result is a delicate Baga wine that reflects its natural origins and offers a genuine link with the Bairrada terroir.
