Curati Vinho Fizei Branco 2022

This 100% Arinto wine is made from grapes harvested by hand from 25-year-old vineyards in Alenquer. Its unique production involves dividing the blend into thirds: one third ferments in open-top barrels with the skins, another third undergoes traditional pressing and fermentation in French oak barrels and the final third ferments in open-top stainless steel tanks. All fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts and minimal sulphur.
After fermentation, each part of the wine is matured in its own vessel - barrels or stainless steel - for six months. The resulting wine is straw yellow in colour with a complex bouquet of citrus, white flowers, resin, candied fruit and minerality. Despite its moderate alcohol content of 12%, the lees give it impressive structure and refreshing length. This is a versatile wine that pairs well with soft cheeses (at 10ºC) and vegetable lasagne (between 12-14ºC).
